Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
This policy explains what information Homebrew Henry (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit this site or enrol in The Cloud Portfolio System, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it short and honest because we collect very little.
Who we are
The Cloud Portfolio System is run by Homebrew Henry. For any privacy question, email hello@homebrewhenry.com. We are the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect
- Information you give us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message. This landing page itself has no sign-up forms.
- Enrolment and payment. When you enrol, checkout and payment are handled by our course platform, Teachable, and its payment processors (including Stripe). They collect your name, email, and payment details and share with us the information we need to give you access (such as your name and email). We never see or store your full card details.
- Automatic technical data. Like most websites, our host (Cloudflare) records standard server data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view, to keep the site secure and working. We do not use this to identify you.
- How we measure this page. We count visits and measure which parts of this page people read, using our own server and our own code. No third-party tracking script runs on this site. We do not use cookies, local storage, or any other identifier stored on your device for measurement, and we do not track you across other websites. Your IP address is turned into a country code at our edge and then discarded. It is never stored and never sent onward. What we keep is a list of anonymous events: which parts of the page came on screen, how far down you read, which question you opened, and which buttons you clicked. The events from one visit share a random identifier that is created when the page loads, records the time the page loaded, is never stored on your device, and is gone when you close the tab. Nothing in that record identifies you, and nothing links one visit to another. These records are stored with PostHog, our analytics processor, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we record nothing about how you read the page. The anonymous count of page visits still happens on our own server, and the button below turns that off too.
Opting out of measurement
You can turn the measurement above off at any time, for this browser, with one click. It sets a single small cookie whose only job is to remember that you objected, and nothing further is recorded.
How we use it
- To give you access to the course and deliver what you bought.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To handle refunds and protect against fraud or abuse.
- To keep the site secure, reliable, and improving.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
Our legal bases (UK/EU GDPR)
We process your information to perform our contract with you (giving you the course you bought), to meet our legal obligations (such as tax records), and for our legitimate interests in running and securing the site. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers we need to run the course, each acting under their own privacy terms:
- Teachable — course hosting and checkout.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security.
- PostHog — stores the anonymous page counts described above, on servers in the EU. It processes them only on our instructions and does not use them for its own purposes.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
International transfers
Some of these providers are based outside the UK/EU. Where your data is transferred abroad, it is protected by appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) under those providers’ terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you have access to the course and as long as we need it for the purposes above, including meeting legal and accounting requirements. After that we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@homebrewhenry.com. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO at ico.org.uk).
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed for the site and checkout to work and stay secure. We set no
analytics cookies. The one cookie we may set is cps_optout,
and only if you press the button above, so that we remember you objected. Our course platform
and payment processor may set their own cookies during enrolment, covered by their policies
linked above.
This page loads its typefaces from two font services, Fontshare and Google Fonts. Loading a font means your browser contacts them directly, so they may see your IP address. If you would rather they did not, a content blocker or a privacy-focused browser will stop those requests, and the page will still work with your system fonts.
Children
This site and course are intended for adults and are not directed at children under 16.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear.
